We started this thing in February 2021, and it was just 4 of us trying to talk about sports with a bunch of sports fans and we couldn't find a good group to do that so we decided "let's start our own" so we did that. It wasn't easy when you have 4 different people who have 4 different personalities and all being fans of different teams, some of us are very well liked and some who are absolutely hated and that's exactly what we wanted.
Our first show was Super Bowl LV where Tom Brady and the Bucs played and beat the KC Chiefs, we had a bunch of guests come on that were fans of both teams and decided we wanted to do more shows like that. We had 3 shows lined up,
🔥The Bottom Line w/ Billy Punch
-This was a 1 man show where Billy was just going off, It was just 60 minutes of his opinion on all hot topic sports stories. We always wanted him to curse but he was always keeping it professional, but now he's starting to say things like crap, sometimes shit, so we are making progress corrupting him.
🔥The Fantasy Scene
-This show was Joe Algieri and his co-host who always called Gleyber Torres "Gleeber". These guys would give fantasy advice for all sports and it always looked like Joe's Co-host was doing the show in his bathroom.
🔥The Smarsh and Scro Show
-This show was Ray Smarsh and Myself going around the sports world, we mainly focused on MLB because when we debuted this show it was towards the end of Spring Training and Opening Day was right around the corner. Ray being a Yankees fan and me being a Mets fan we would basically just keep taking jabs at each other when those teams were brought up, then we were normal-ish when talking about neutral teams.
🔥Dump & Chase
- This was our Hockey Show, it was John, AA and Mike Hart, these guys were all Rangers and Islanders and their rants and screaming wars were all time!! I always called hockey the 4th sport and these guys just steered into it and went with the bit like pros.
So that brings us to today, with the help of our Graphic Designer and new team member Eryn Bohleber we created this new logo and new look!!!! She took my vision and made it even better and absolutely NAILED IT!!!! We can't thank her enough for dealing with us through the process. Eryn is also helping with our merch department so we can create much better designs for our shirts, hoodies, hats, etc. (Which is available now in the shop on our new website FiredUpSportsNetwork.com) Thank You again Eryn and we are super pumped to have you on board!!!
We debuted the new look earlier this morning on our Pre-Pre Game Football Show The Tailgate which is on every Sunday at 11am (Cheap Plug) and we are also very happy and excited to announce that Straight Up 5 featuring Johnny Petraglia Jr. Show is now part of the Fire'd Up Sports Network family, Rob Francois, Dr. Ocho, and Johnny Petraglia Jr. are on every Wednesday night at 8pm on their YouTube Channel Straight Up 5 with Johnny Petraglia, they talk all bowling and any bowling fans (we have a ton in the group) this is a must watch and they get some legendary guests.
We have our bloggers back, Mike McKittrick doing our NHL and Mike Martell covering the NBA (He will also be starting an NBA show with his Co-Host coming soon).
Thomas Cacioppo will be doing are Wrestling blogs and will also have a wrestling show coming soon!!!
We also have some other shows coming with NASCAR, College Football, Hockey, and Gambling, once that gets finalized we will be announcing start dates.
One thing we've always done is call people out, that's not gonna stop! If you act like a clown you'll be treated as such, If you can't take banter, if you can dish it but not take it, this group is not for you. If you take everything too seriously and literally, this also may not be a group for you. At the end of the day we are all fans and everything is content!!! You've now been warned.
We've come a long way and we are starting to make a lot of progress, we are still looking for more show hosts and bloggers for all sports!!! Anyone interested please reach out, the only thing we ask for is commitment!!!!
